Silver ETF or PM?

Should I own Silver (PM Physical Metal aka Silver Bullion) or just invest in an ETF or silver related stocks?
There is a long debated issue over owning physical metal or indirectly via a Silver ETF. There are certainly pros and cons to each entity.
SLV - The premiere silver ETF has been trading for several years now, but is it the best way to invest in Silver? Convenient, yes, but how much physical metal is behind the ticker symbol??? Many people are digging into this topic and many conclude that SLV may not be the ideal or secure way to invest in the impending rise in the metal's value. The consensus on the street is that owning physical metals (in hand, not supposedly in someones vault) even if storing and shipping is a bit more hassle nearterm, easier than getting PM that doesn't exist in a phantom vault later on. Hence the saying, a bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
Don't forget to check out who is offering SLV... same outfit with the largest silver short position - hmmm interesting isn't it .

Silver Miners:
Enter silver miners such as SLW and CDE. Do some research on your own and perhaps you'll come to a simliar solution - PM is king, silver miners might be good to have in your back pocket as well.

Silver as PM:We, along with a growing group of people, believe Silver is where the most upside potential exists, but where and how is the best way to get some before it's too late? Many prefer to get silver direct from the mints while other prefer to get them on the open secondary market. We don't recommend using the swap sites like Craigs since you expose yourself to undue risk meeting with strangers that live in your vicinity. This is a security issue... why take the risk? Buying online via auctions has been and probably will continue to be very popular and safe especially with services such as PayPal backing up purchases and securing your online purchases.
